Step 1: Develop a toy (Character) through a series of thumbnail sketches

3. What will be the pose? Don't have any downward pointing parts or really extended parts (it prints out with supports that will need to be cut off.

Step 2: Refine these sketches and complete 3 final drawings from 3 views
1. Must be the same pose but drawn from different angles.
2.You will be given 3 small sheets of paper
3. Draw one view per sheet
4. Use pencil or ebony to shade

Step 3: Render your character in 3D using Sculptris

Sculptris is a free version of ZBrush (industry standard software)

Commands you will need to know
1. How to dig into the form ( Hold down ALT while you draw )
2. How to undo ( Click and hold CTRL and click z )
3. To move the globe (make sure the grab icon is clicked then make sure global is clicked)
4. To resize (make sure the scale icon is clicked and then make sure global is clicked)
5. To rotate (click and drag your mouse on the space outside of the figure)

- Having trouble selecting an object? Press control D and then click the object you want
- Delete: Control Z
- Dig in: Press and hold Alt while you draw
How to add eyes: Make sure Global and XYS and clicked on when trying to resize globes
How to reduce your triangles. It should be lower than 100,000 but 30,000 is better

Step 5: Print in 3D
If it is round, print toy a max of 70mm
If it's long, print it at least 100mm

You must have "A" quality work in order to print your toy out in 3D
How to make Hollow and add holes for Printing on Form 2 Printer
- Transform- Resize 4.5 inches = 114.3
- Get rid of individual chambers by going to: Edit- make solid- solid- change solid type to accurate- Solid accuracy move it all of the way up- increase mesh density really high- update on slide show
- To make hollow: Edit- make hollow-1mm- solid accuracy full-Mesh Density really high-Update Hollow- Export Obj.
